:: the big shave

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED!
With your help, I raised $930, going beyond the $800 goal I had set, and donations are still coming in.
  These funds will go to the Lucas Scott Livingston Memorial Fund, to assist families whose children are undergoing cancer treatment at Johns Hopkins.

THE “BEFORE” PHOTO

First they put the hair in ponytails, then shave them off one by one. Akkk, the suspense is killing me!

I could not have done this without you, and I am so very grateful to all the kind people who donated! On August 2nd, I followed through on my pledge to shave my hair, to honor the kids who lose theirs while battling cancer. They need to hear it from grown-ups that they are so much more than their appearance, they are whole without their hair. Bald can be beautiful! So here are the stages of my shave. Many thanks to Lisa Burk and the Hair Cuttery for donating the shave.

Ponytails gone, just the bangs left!

LOOK MA, HAIR TODAY, GONE TOMORROW!
